President

Timothy Haahs & Associates, Inc. (TimHaahs) understands the important role parking plays in development. A multi-disciplined engineering and architectural firm, TimHaahs specializes in planning - masterplanning for campuses, urban and high density areas, and transit related projects and providing design services for parking and mixed-use buildings.

Our approach to masterplanning high density and urban areas is to integrate the parking solution
with the pedestrian experience - creating active and vibrant "people places". Our primary focus is to create a sense of place and identity, built on shared gathering spaces. Tim holds a BS and MS in Civil/Urban Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and later became a licensed Architect in Maryland. He received the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Blue Chip Enterprise Award in 1998, and was recognized as Entrepreneur of Year by Ernst & Young in the Real Estate and Construction category, Philadelphia region in 2006. He is serving in the capacity of Director and Executive Committee for the International Parking Institute and Urban Land Institute Philadelphia District Council, respectively. He is also leading the inaugural Urban Land Institute South Korea Conference as Chair. He has written several feature articles on renewing urban communities, and edited two major publications in the "Parking 101" series.
